PTA Art Docent
Welcome Back Endeavour Parents! Here’s a great way to get involved at our school! Kids Love ART and you will quickly become a favorite visitor in their classroom. Think about joining our Art Docent Team for the 2008-09 school year. Please see what we have covered to date in the classrooms. Art Docent Committee Art Docents are parent/community volunteers that work in the classroom once per month teaching art. No Art Experience Necessary, as lessons are provided along with discussion questions and supplies. Volunteer needs are: 1) Art docents - 1 hour in-class time, 1/2 hour prep. per month + occasional meetings with the other docents. In-class times are coordinated with the teacher. 2) Docent Helper - 1 hour in-class per month. Helpers assist the docent in the actual hands-on art lesson by helping kids with glue/paint, clean-up, displaying art work etc. 3) Supply prep. - as needed, hours flexible.
